Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) is a massage therapy that stimulates and enhances the movement of fluids around the body. MLD facilitates the detoxification and removal of waste that can be trapped in the muscle, fascia and fat. It helps reduce swelling, inflammation, and pain in soft tissue and joints of the body. It speeds up the filtration process of the lymph nodes that neutralize pathogens like bacteria, virus, and cancer cells.
The massage can vary in pressure from very gentle to deeper techniques. The goal of the treatment is to promote the release and removal of cellular waste, congestion, toxins and fluid build up more efficiently.
MLD is used to treat lymphedema, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, and autoimmune disorders. MLD is safe, non-invasive, and can be performed by trained massage therapists or healthcare professionals.

Brazilian lymphatic massage was developed with cosmetic purposes in mind. It targets bloating, puffiness, and water retention, while also helping to reduce the appearance of cellulite. It combines traditional lymphatic drainage massage techniques with sculpting/contouring techniques that release congestion and fluid build up from the body. This method is also an excellent aid for pre and post-surgical recovery. The Brazilian Method employs more vigorous and deeper techniques to achieve its remarkable results.
To get the most out of a lymphatic massage session: wear comfortable clothes, stay hydrated, avoid eating a heavy meal beforehand and communicate any medical concerns with the therapist to customize the massage session.
During a Detox lymphatic massage session, you can expect a relaxing experience. The massage therapist will use moderate to light pressure and long, sweeping strokes to stimulate the lymphatic system and promote the flow of lymph fluid throughout the body.
The massage will focus on clearing the lymph nodes that are located in the neck, armpits, abdominal and groin areas, but it may also be a full-body massage. The therapist may also use special techniques, such as stretching and deep breathing, to enhance the effectiveness of the massage.
Post-Surgical, Myscle Detox or Body Contouring may involve more pressure to maxmize the removal of congestion from deep tissue layers in the body. The therapist will work with the client’s comfort levels and adjust to the client’s needs.
Lymphatic massage can help to boost the body’s natural detoxification process. It is common to feel a deep sense of relaxation, lightness or clarity after a session, as the massage can help to release tension and reduce stress.
Some people may experience mild soreness or tenderness after a lymphatic massage, which is normal and should subside within a day or two. Occasionally, a person may feel mild cold or flu like symptoms and soreness in their lymph nodes.
We recommend limiting sugar, caffeine and alcohol before and after a lymphatic massage. It’s important to drink plenty of water after your session to help flush out any toxins that may have been released during the massage. We also offer detox teas and supplements o help with the elimination of waste from the body.
It’s important to keep in mind that everybody is unique, so the effects of a lymphatic massage will vary. Depending on your overall health, it may take a few sessions to feel the difference. Your therapist will recommend a treatment plan based on what is assessed in your first session. Generally for health maintanance, it is recommended to get one Detox massage a month.
Manual Lymphatic drainage is a gentle and non-invasive massage. Its primary objective is to improve circulation and minimize swelling through light massage. Although individuals recovering from surgery may experience some discomfort, the massage in itself should not cause excessive pain.
The number of massages that post-surgery or body contouring clients need may vary. Depending on the procedure and how the body responds, massages may range from one to three sessions per week over a 6-8 week span. For clients seeking general maintenance, we generally suggest one to two monthly sessions.
Every tissue in our bodies produces waste as a natural byproduct of cellular functions. To tackle this, the lymphatic system plays a crucial role in collecting and eliminating cellular waste, such as white blood cells, bacteria, viruses, toxins, and other molecular debris.
One of the primary benefits of lymphatic massage is that it can help to support immune function by increasing the circulation of lymphatic fluid throughout the body. The lymphatic system plays a crucial role in the body’s immune function, as it is responsible for filtering out and removing toxins, viruses, and other harmful substances from the body. By improving the flow of lymphatic fluid through the body, lymphatic massage can help to enhance the body’s natural immune response and boost its ability to fight off illness and disease.
Body Contouring is a non-invasive way to sculpt and define areas of the body like face, torso, thighs, gluts and flanks. You can expect to see changes in the circumference of an area of your body like your waist or thighs. Excessive fluid, inflammation, congestion, and fat cells are targeted with the intention of breaking up waste and allowing for it to be eliminated by the lymphatic system. The treatment can include: lymphatic massage, deeper cross fiber friction, gua sha, cupping and ultrasound cavitation.
Nonsurgical body contouring is not a weight loss solution. It is ideal for people who are close to or have already obtained their desired weight. The massage can aid in the removal of stubborn fat pockets, bloat and reduce the look of cellulite.
We recommend at least 4-6 appointments to see best results. Then a maintenance program of 1-2 massages a month.
MLD increases circulation which helps eliminate waste products that build up during exercise. It can remove inflammation created in soft tissues from exercise and strength training. It promotes faster recovery times by reducing pain, stiffness and tension in the body
Lymphatic massage is an effective way to address fluid buildup and quickly flush out unwanted cellular debris and excess fluid after a surgery. MLD can alleviate the pain, swelling, and bruising that is a result of most surgeries.
The massage accelerates the removal of damaged fat cells, excessive fluid and other waste material following procedures like laser liposuction, fat freezing and fat-disolving injections. It can also help to minimize scarring and fibrosis following more invasive surgeries like tummy tucks, breast augmentation and face lifts. Ultimately, lymphatic massage can speed up the healing process for all post-operative patients, not just cosmetic procedures.
Accumulation of excessive fluid in the body will gradually increase overall body weight. Lymphatic massage improves circulation in the body and the flushing out of waste throught the natural elimination systems. This leads to a boosted metabolism and better waste product elimination, which ultimately facilitates weight loss. Clients will experience a loss of excessive water weight and decrease in the look of cellulite. It also aids with digestion, constipation and decreases bloating in the abdominal area.

The lymphatic system is crucial for healthy and radiant skin. If it’s not functioning correctly, it can lead to dull, dehydrated skin, acne infections, impeded cell renewal and repair, and skin rashes. Inflammation also affects the skin’s ability to replenish itself. The lymphatic system is responsible for maintaining the skin’s hydration and supplying essential nutrients.
